This breathtaking melody unfolded from a seed planted deep within me the day my eldest daughter arrived nearly 24 years ago. In December 2023, I had the privilege of playing it for her at her wedding reception, a celebration of the meadow she’d become.

Nearly 24 years earlier, with the arrival of this incredible, vibrant soul, I became a father for the first time. Lost in a sea of baby names, one stood out, piercing my heart like a wildflower blooming in spring – Ainsley, meaning “one’s own meadow.”

The perfect name for someone who would carve out a piece of the world and make it uniquely hers. She’s a meadow of life and love, bursting with vibrant wildflowers of patience, grace, and laughter. The ancient oaks that stand resolute within her are etched with wisdom, their roots digging deep for strength. The boundaries are marked by tall, sheltering pines, evergreen and constant, symbolizing her unwavering spirit. An intricate wrought-iron gate swings wide open, welcoming all, while a hidden path beckons on the horizon, promising adventure.

To my daughter Ainsley, who has bloomed into a magnificent meadow, a testament to strength and resilience. All my love.
